Linda de Mol causes quite an annoyance to Eric de Munck, one of the showbiz experts from RTL Boulevard. He thinks it’s shabby that she wears a pink pantsuit so often. “Why is that?”
It seems that Linda de Mol is happy to hide behind her Gooische Vrouwen character Cheryl Morero now that she is no longer in the market. Two new seasons of the comedy series are coming and she will soon appear as Cheryl in the new video clip of hit sensation Roxy Dekker. Quite an honor for Linda.
Linda or Cheryl
Rob Goossens thinks that Linda wins more from this than Roxy. “I think Linda de Mol thought: this is a great opportunity to actually become popular with a whole new generation through Cheryl Morero, who have not experienced all that misery at The Voice and with her partner,” he says in The BLVD Podcast.
It seems that Linda wants to position herself more as Cheryl, he thinks. “With a whole new generation that just doesn’t know what The Voice is because they’ve never seen it. I completely agree with her. It’s a brilliant strategy.”
‘Always a pink suit!’
It will be a dilemma for Linda, says Rob. “At a certain point you have to ask yourself: should you really build that fame on Cheryl Morero or should she eventually say: ‘Actually I am Linda de Mol’, and thus break through to a new generation. She’s just becoming Cheryl Morero now, I think.”
Eric de Munck, a fellow showbiz expert, then expresses his annoyance with Linda’s character. “Just about Cheryl. Does Linda de Mol have shares in that pink suit or what is it? She always wears that eternal pink suit. Also in that Roxy Dekker clip. I can only remember Cheryl Morero in that pink. Why is that?”
Favorite color
Bridget Maasland, who presents the podcast, has no answer ready for Eric. “Maybe that’s her favorite color?”
Eric: “I see her in the same suit all the time. I just want some variety.”
Rob: “It is good for recognisability.”

Eric thinks that Cheryl’s poor wardrobe sense just doesn’t match reality. “In Het Gooi, no one actually wears the same thing all the time and she was now wearing that suit again. Anyway, it’s just an observation, no further in-depth research needs to be done.”
