Entrepreneur Chord Borg and media personality Janni Hussi say in a recent podcast episode that their voices are being used without permission on a popular porn website. Women’s voices have been faked for an ad running on a porn site to try to attract more visitors to a sex dating site.
– Listeners, we need your help now, or maybe not help, but spiritual support. I mean my and Huss’s voices are used on the porn site, says Sointu Borg In the episode of the Sana on vava podcast.
– A few different soundtracks have been playing there for six months, and our voices are recognizable there. If you open that site, there will be a person from Meik who shouts: “You there with an egg in your hand!”
The two burst out laughing.
– Really, says Borg.
– Yeah, now this is funny, but the first time I saw this, I was in shock.
– Sorry, you can’t laugh at this, Hussi replies.
– You have to laugh at this, Borg says.
Next, Sointu Borg says that he has filed a criminal complaint. He says he got annoyed when a remix version of the soundtrack of that ad started circulating on Tiktok. Janni Hussi says that he received a message from a friend a year ago, in which he learned that his voice was being used on a porn site.
Borg says that the voices for the ad were made with artificial intelligence. The artificial intelligence fakes in question are known as deepfakes, i.e. deep fakes.

Borg is concerned about people’s ability to distinguish fake from genuine sounds or images.
– I have been shocked by this, that completely reasonable people, whom I know in advance, have come to me, confused, asking if I have started making such audio advertisements. You can clearly hear that it was made with artificial intelligence!
Sointu Borg says that he told about it in a Tiktok video, when young people came to comment “clearly” on his publication.
– That’s the problem here, when these are so well made, Janni Hussi commented.
In the episode, the two think about cleverly created fake news, which also causes confusion on social media. They wonder how far behind Finnish legislation is with such matters.
