Vuokatti Ski Team Kainuu experienced bad luck. Vilma Nissinen reacted strongly.

Vuokatti Ski Team Kainuu was left without a SM medal on Friday.

The team was in the lead in the penultimate leg of the women’s free double relay, but bad luck interfered with the game. Eveliina Piippo tripped and fell.

Team-mate Vilma Nissinen the strong reaction was shown live on Yle’s TV broadcast. Nissinen, who was waiting in the changing area, saw Piipo’s fall on the stadium screen, and did not hide his feelings.

– Oh… a shocked Nissinen seemed to say.

Piippo replaced Vuokat in the eighth. Nissinen, who skied as an anchor, took the team to fifth place.

– In this type of competition, there are no setbacks. Always wanted to fight for victory. The world won’t fall on it, but it’s sad, Nissinen commented on Piipo’s fall and his reaction.

On Saturday, there will be a 10 kilometer traditional race in Imatra. Combined races are on the program on Sunday.
