There have been rumors of a transfer for national handball player Marko Grgic from ThSV Eisenach for weeks. Before the Handball World Cup, details about transfer poker were revealed.
As “Sport Bild” reports, there is currently a hot poker game going on between those responsible at ThSV Eisenach and those at TSV Hannover-Burgdorf about the amount of the transfer fee for Marko Grgic.
The backcourt player is contractually bound to the Thuringians until 2027. According to the report, thanks to a release clause, he can leave the club in 2026 for just 50,000 euros.
Hannover-Burgdorf is aiming for a transfer next summer. The warriors are even said to offer 200,000 euros for Grgic’s services.
But Eisenach took a stand and demanded 400,000 euros for approval after the season. The ThSV is said to have even threatened to ban changes.
It is also said that Grgic is aiming for a transfer to Hanover in 2025. The 21-year-old shooting star has already clearly positioned himself and has spoken out in favor of a move to Lower Saxony.
In addition to TSV Hannover-Burgdorf, Rhein-Neckar Löwen and Füchse Berlin were also recently said to be interested.
Grgic comments on his future
In November, Grgic was still cautious about his future. “I like to read something like that, I also like to listen to something like that. I think something like that enlivens the handball business a little. It never makes it boring,” the DHB star made people sit up and take notice on “Dyn”.
Marko Grgic was surprisingly appointed to national coach Alfred Gislason’s Olympic squad in the summer. The newcomer won the silver medal with the DHB team. The Eisenacher will also be taking part in the Handball World Cup starting on January 14th.
In the HBL, Grgic has scored 126 goals in 16 games so far this season. This puts the youngster in third place on the top scorers list.
