Now the international media are reporting on the sad news. Perry has died at the age of 30.
Perry’s nurse Jenny Kiratli was the first to confirm the death Palo Alto Online – for the media. According to Kiratli, Perry had to be put down due to a painful hoof disease and a hind leg injury.
– During the last month, he stood on only three legs and held one leg up, Kiratli told the media.
Attempts were made to improve the condition of the elderly donkey with various treatments before the decision to euthanize. However, the treatments did not work as expected.
Born in 1994, Perry lived almost his entire life in Palo Alto, California, on the Barron Park Donkeys livestock farm. The farm published an update on its Instagram account in Perry’s memory.
– We will miss you Perry. You were a very special donkey. We were lucky to know you and we will never forget you, the obituary says.

First Shrek -film was released in 2001. The next film in the series, i.e. the Fifth film, will be released in July of this year.
In the English version, Asia is voiced by Eddie Murphy. In the Finnish version, the donkey is voiced by Jukka Rasila.
