Cheap fuel? Is that still possible today due to rising fuel prices? In Waalwijk on Tuesday, yes, although some motorists had to queue for hours. Due to the great success of the promotion, TinQ has now adjusted the promotion conditions.
At the pump on Havenweg it was only possible to fill up between ten and eleven o’clock at the prices of twenty years ago. TinQ thought this was a nice idea, because the gas station has been around for twenty years. A few hundred motorists also appreciated this stunt. Some got up extra early to get to the gas station on time.
According to our reporter, at least eighty motorists have benefited from the enormous benefit. Perhaps a hundred other drivers were caught off guard. As compensation they received a voucher from the staff of the pump to fill up for 5 euros for free. “And they were very grateful for that,” said a spokesperson for the gas station. He said the crowds were manageable.

Nevertheless, TinQ has chosen to adjust the promotion conditions. “The actions in this week have so far proved too successful. Many happy faces among customers, but also traffic jams have arisen at a number of locations due to the extreme crowds”, the company reports. “The enthusiasm and crowds are many times greater than we could have anticipated, as well as the (fuel) emotion that has led to grim situations in some locations.”
The number of gas stations where the low prices apply will be reduced to two per day. TinQ announces which these are on its own website and app.
