Matintalo is suffering from a leg injury.
Johanna Matintalo will miss the last race of the Tour de Ski, announced the Ski Federation late on Saturday.
The Finn is going home to heal his sore leg during the tour.
Saturday’s 20 kilometer combined race was difficult for Matintalo. He got to Canada by Katherine Stewart-Jones crashed and later suffered from a renewed muscle injury.
Finnish doctor Maarit Valtonen gave Matintalo instructions on the way to the goal.
– The doctor said at the finish that now we should try to get the places in order, and not beat our heads against the wall, Matintalo reported to IL after the race.
