Catching up in the Premier League

Manchester City is continuing its comeback in the Premier League thanks to the resurgent top scorer Erling Haaland. After three winless games in a row, the English champions celebrated their second win in a row with a 4-1 (2-0) win against West Ham United on matchday 20.
As sixth in the table, coach Pep Guardiola’s team is still eleven points behind leaders Liverpool FC, who host Manchester United this Sunday (5:30 p.m.). There are two points missing from a Champions League place.
Important note for the Skyblues: Top striker Haaland scores again. ON Sunday he scored again against Leicester after a long goal drought. On Saturday against West Ham it was even a double; his first since mid-September. After taking the lead with an own goal from West Ham’s Vladimír Coufal (10th minute), Haaland (42nd/55th) made the preliminary decision. Phil Foden scored the fourth goal for the hosts (58th). With his second goal in the Premier League, national player Niclas Füllkrug (71st) only managed a consolation goal for the 13th place team. from London.
