It ends 7-1: Lewandowski immediately scores three goals (the first two on a penalty) and closes the scores, then Gnabry, Mueller (brace) and Sané round up the score. Kjaergaard scored the Austrians’ goal
Bayern Munich chases away the recent crunches and earns the quarterfinals of the Champions League with a sensational 7-1 against Salzburg, who after the 1-1 first leg thought they could at least play it. Nothing to do: i Germans closed the case in 23 ‘, needless to say with the best center forward in the world, Robert Lewandowski. Then, in a game with no more history, there was glory for Mueller (brace) Gnabry and Sané. For the Austrians, a deserved goal of the flag with Kjaergaard.
THE MATCH
–
Ready-off and it’s immediately a show. After all, if the difference in values on the pitch is embarrassing, both teams attack better than they defend. Lewandowski nearly scored after less than 1 ‘, but Capaldo scared Neuer shortly after. Lewandowski’s skill collides with the inadequacy of the Austrian defenders: Lewa earns himself and converts two clear penalties (the second with the help of the Var) on 12 ‘and 21’, before scoring the trio on the counterattack which effectively closes the accounts at 23 ‘. From here on, the game is only for Bayern to reflect in his qualities: Gnabry punches an uncertain Kohn, in the second half there is glory for Mueller (great control and left-footed shot) before Kjaergaard’s counterattack. The second goal by Mueller and Sané set a humiliating result for the Austrians, which makes it clear once again that Bayern must be eliminated to win this Champions League.
