WINEBAG is a brand that was born from the ingenuity and passion for wine of Daniel, a lover of tastings and meetings around a good bottle. Today, his legacy is in the hands of his daughters, who, together with their mother, continue the dream he started. When talking to them, it is clear that WINEBAG is not just a product, but a love story for design, functionality and quality.
“It all started because of a personal need for our father,” the owners say with a mixture of pride and nostalgia. Daniel, in addition to being passionate about wine, was part of a tasting group that organized blind and vertical tastings, always with sophisticated wines and gastronomy that accompanied the experience. It was during those meetings, and when attending restaurants with corkage carrying his own wine, that he noticed the lack of a suitable bag to carry bottles and glasses.
“What was on the market did not meet their expectations. “He wanted something that was functional, but also elegant and quality,” they explain. It was then when Daniel decided to design his own model. Although it started as a hobby, it soon became a serious project that gave life to the first WINEBAG.
The road was not easy. “Choosing the best materials was a huge challenge,” they remember. “Dad focused on the details: he looked for high-quality leathers, durable gear, and a craftsman’s workshop that could embody his vision.” Thus was born the first model, known as the Travelera bag capable of carrying up to six bottles of wine or a combination of bottles and glasses. This design was the beginning of what would later expand with the models Duo and Singledesigned for different needs.
“He Traveler It is the favorite of sommeliers and tourists who visit wineries,” they explain, “while the Duo and the Single They are ideal for those who bring wine to a meal or to a restaurant with corkage.” In addition, they highlight that the larger models have protective thermo and impact features, which guarantee that the wine arrives in perfect condition.
Talking about the designs, the sisters remember the first models. “At first, we only had black bags, with leather textures that gave them a sophisticated touch. But then we added colors. Chocolate was the first one we launched and this year we incorporated Malbec, a bold tone that has delighted those looking for something different,” they say excitedly.
Quality is an aspect that the owners constantly emphasize. From the beginning, they worked with a tannery that provides them with excellent leather and adapts to production in small quantities. “Closures and snaps are equally important, because we want our products to be durable and functional,” they add. And, of course, the craftsmanship of the workshop has been key to achieving the standard that characterizes WINEBAG.
WINEBAG’s audience is diverse, from sommeliers who use them for work, to wine lovers who want to transport their bottles in style. They are also a highly valued gift. “Many wineries and wine bars have trusted us to offer our bags as part of their proposal, and that fills us with pride,” they express.
However, the last few months have not been easy. After the death of their father, the daughters took on the challenge of continuing the family legacy. “We set out to consolidate the brand, expand to the international market and continue growing in Argentina,” they say with determination. “It is a journey that has just begun, and we are excited for everything that is to come.”
WINEBAG is not just a company, but a tribute. An example of how a personal idea can be transformed into a product that connects people with their passion for wine, always with quality and style.
