Jürgen Klopp’s start date for the flagship team in the RB cosmos has not yet been set. But Leipzig coach Marco Rose is looking forward to the new boss.

There is great anticipation for Jürgen Klopp’s first visit to RB Leipzig. It is not yet clear when Red Bull’s new Head of Global Soccer will visit the Bundesliga team for the first time.

RB coach Marco Rose is already looking forward to this moment with excitement: “I left Kloppo alone, but now the vacation is over. Now it starts. January 1st is a sharp start, also for him. We are looking forward to it network, on his experience and on him as a guy,” said Rose at the public training launch.

The connection between Rose and Klopp is well-established. They know each other very well from their time together in Mainz and have never lost contact. Nevertheless, Rose also hopes that the collaboration will provide impetus for his own development: “It’s always nice to get input and learn instead of just swimming in your own soup,” explained the 48-year-old.

He is looking forward to exchanging ideas about topics such as game philosophy, systems or dealing with squads. “Even at 48 years old and as an experienced coach, you can still develop further,” he added.

Red Bull managing director Oliver Mintzlaff revealed that Klopp was already in contact with the RB cosmos during his time out: “Of course we also talked about the sporting situations. There was absolute support from Jürgen regarding Marco Rose.”

Now Klopp is about to travel the world through Red Bull’s global network. He will visit locations in Brazil, New York, Japan and Salzburg. He will also act in an advisory capacity for Leeds United and Paris FC, where the group has minority interests.
