Recipe service Kotikokki.net’s tuna pie is one of the site’s most popular recipes of all time. And no wonder who wouldn’t taste a salty pie.

The super-popular recipe takes time, with nearly 170 comments left under the recipe over the years.

– Did I set a record? I found this recipe the other day, and now I’ve made two tuna versions of it, one minced-bacon-onion version, one chicken-pineapple-feta-cheese version and one funnel-wafer-mushroom-onion-leek version, one site user is considering.

– The help is insanely easy and the end result is perfect. I did the tuna version for the first time and now I’m planning what other possible fillings I could use, another writes.

Tuna pie

Base:

1 tbsp (200 g) sour cream

1 egg

2 ½ dl of wheat flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

Filling:

1 tbsp (200 g) sour cream

2 eggs

2 tbsp tuna

garlic + spices

grated cheese

1. Pour the water out of the tuna cans. Mix all the base ingredients together (baking powder always with wheat flour) and pour the dough into a greased and floured pie pan.

2. Then mix the filling ingredients together and pour the filling over the raw bottom.

3. Add a little grated cheese if desired.

4. Bake at 200 degrees until beautifully browned (about half an hour). The dough comes in a pie pan (24 cm) on the surface: use a slightly larger one or cover the bottom of the oven with a baking sheet, for example.
