In the second game, the United States was clearly better by 5-2, says the United States Ice Hockey Federation in X. The match was played on the night before Christmas Eve.

Right after the game, the team traveled to the World Championship city, Ottawa. Finland’s tournament starts on December 27 at 2:30 a.m. with a fierce match against the tournament host, Canada.

Finland was fourth in last year’s tournament. The United States is the defending age group world champion, and its World Cup tournament kicks off on Boxing Day against Germany.
