The Portuguese is increasingly in the balance after yet another disappointing performance by the Rossoneri on the day of the 125th anniversary celebrations
It was supposed to be a celebration, but it ended amid deafening boos from San Siro, which challenged the team, club and coach on several occasions. In mid-December the scudetto is now a mirage, with the Rossoneri sunk -14 behind leaders Atalanta. And so, despite the management’s reassurances, the sacked Paulo Fonseca’s odds are collapsing hour by hour on the bookmakers’ blackboards…
PAULO FONSECA EXEMPTED QUOTES
—
The 0-0 draw with Genoa ends a difficult week for Fonseca, which began with Bergamo’s defeat against Atalanta and continued with the post-Champions League controversies with the locker room: the lackluster draw dampened the enthusiasm of a San Siro now resigned to a season away from the top of the standings. Despite having a game to recover against Bologna, Milan sank to eighth place, 14 points behind leaders Atalanta. Only one victory (against Empoli) in the last five matches for the Rossoneri, stopped by a draw by Genoa, Cagliari and Juve and defeated by Gasperini’s team. And now Paulo Fonseca’s exemption odds at 25/12 are falling again: we are at 2.50 on Netbet and Netwin and 2.20 on Sisal.
