“Stromberg” returns to the big screen in 2025

A new “Stromberg” film is scheduled to hit theaters in fall 2025. In addition to Christoph Maria Herbst in the main role of Stromberg, we can also look forward to other familiar faces from the series.

“A reunion with people you always found difficult”

The new “Stromberg” film is a collaboration between Banijay Germany, Prime Video and ProSiebenSat.1. The script was written by producer Ralf Husmann, who was also involved in the television series that premiered in 2004. Director Arne Feldhusen will also be responsible for the production for the big screen.

According to “DWDL,” Husmann explained: “What Oasis can do, Stromberg has been able to do for a long time: a reunion with people who have always been difficult. Only without music.” There was already a cinema adaptation of the series about everyday office life at Capitol Versicherung AG in 2014 called “Stromberg – The Film”. This was financed through a crowdfunding project and film funding and celebrated its premiere on February 18, 2014 in Cologne.

Filming for the new project is scheduled to begin in spring 2025. The cinema release is scheduled for the end of 2025 – but an exact date has not yet been set. You should then be able to stream “Stromberg – the new film” on Prime Video. A broadcast on free TV on ProSieben is also planned.

This is what you can expect from the new “Stromberg”.

According to “DWDL,” Husemann continued: “Ten years after the first film, so many people still ask me about Bernd that at some point I wanted to know what happened to him in the new working world. And from all the other barley. Maybe Boss is like Corona: The new variants are supposedly more harmless. Just not for everyone.”

Much more about the plot has not yet been revealed in this context. Nevertheless, you can also expect a reunion with Berthold “Ernie” Heisterkamp (i.e. Bjarne Mädel), Tanja (Diana Staehly) and Ulf Steinke (Oliver Wnuk), Jennifer Schirrmann (Milena Dreissig) and the boss and so-called “Papa” of the office department , Bernd Stromberg, calculate. Here too, as usual with the series, things should escalate – and beyond.
