Versailles, 10 December. (askanews) – For one evening, the Palace of Versailles brings the past back to life with the “Bal du Siècle”, 800 guests, dressed in clothes strictly in the style of the Roaring Twenties, dance in the Battle Gallery, listen to a recital and admire one fireworks display from the Hall of Mirrors. Each of them had to pay between 200 and 500 euros for this leap into the past. “We wanted to celebrate at the Palace of Versailles and do it like 100 years ago,” explains Laurent Brunner, director of Château de Versailles Spectacles.
