Miu Miu will apparently have to do without design director Dario Vitale in the future.

According to a report from WWD, Vitale is set to leave the Italian fashion brand at the end of January. According to the industry magazine, Vitale informed his team of his resignation last Friday. There is no official confirmation of the personnel yet; Miu Miu’s parent company, the Prada Group, has not yet responded to a request from FashionUnited.

Francesca Nicoletti, who worked closely with Vitale at Miu Miu for years, will be promoted to design director for ready-to-wear as her successor.

Vitale himself was previously closely linked to Fabio Zambernardi, who left the company in October last year after over four decades of working with Miuccia Prada. The departures of Vitale and Zambernardi are not the only personnel changes at the successful brand. Back in September, former Miu Miu CEO Benedetta Petruzzo moved to Christian Dior Couture as Managing Director.
