According to a report, FC Bayern Munich has parted ways with a kit manager. The reason: The employee is said to have made racist remarks about two of the club’s players.
Was there another racism incident at Bayern Munich? As the “Bild” reported on Sunday, a kit manager from the club is said to have allowed himself a verbal lapse and made racist statements. These are said to have resulted in the long-time employee being fired.
Specifically, according to “Bild”, the kit manager is said to have said to his daughter, with whom he was on the club premises, about Bayern players Serge Gnabry and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting: “You don’t have to bring them home with me.”
Other employees are said to have overheard the conversation and interpreted the statement as racism, which is said to have resulted in the employee being fired.
In the summer of 2020, a youth coach was fired from Munich after racist statements were found in chat histories (read more about this here).
