Sport grabbed a valuable point from Rauma, but there was more on offer.

Sport still led towards the end of the final set, but Lukko rose to the level and took the win Brayden Burke with an overtime hit.

Sport coach Risto Dufva talked about a “good point” at the press conference.

– The last set became quite a defensive battle. In the end, we were lucky that we usually got something, he commented.

– We are satisfied that we got one point. Every dot is needed and even a comma will do.

Effective Kärpät

In Thursday’s second match, Kärpät crushed KooKoo’s playoff dreams with a 6–2 win. Kärpät was really effective, as KooKoo won the “goal waiting match” 3.00–2.11.

– With our own play, we were given the opportunity to take those points from here, KooKoo’s head coach Olli Salo uttered.

– This is a scoring game. Kärpät put in bluntly, and we really didn’t use our own places.

Kärpät took third place over Jukurien and Pelicans.

– KooKoo was pretty much the better team today, the team that took the game, Kärppie’s head coach Ville Mäntymaa admitted.

– We were very efficient today.
