Never before has so much work been done on the track as this year. The consequences for train passengers are major, ProRail announced at a press conference on Monday morning. Amersfoort Central will even be completely removed from the timetable for three weeks next summer; there will be no train running at that time. This has major consequences for travelers throughout the Netherlands: longer travel times, more frequent transfers or replacement bus transport.
