A car caught fire in Klazienaveen last night. That happened on the Derksweg. The fire brigade was unable to prevent the majority of the car from being lost.
When the fire engines arrived just after 3:30 am, flames were already shooting meters high from the vehicle. After extinguishing the fire, it became clearly visible that the front of the car in particular had become a wreck.
Just before the call, the fire brigade also received a report of a car fire on Griendtsveenstraat in Erica. It is not known whether the two fires are related. The police are investigating arson.
