Rival rap group
It is not yet clear what would have led to the shooting death of Bigidagoe. The day after the fatal shooting, the police announced that the shooting death of Bigidagoe may have been the result of a conflict in the criminal environment or a conflict with a rival rap group.
According to Het Parool it would be a long-standing conflict in the Amsterdam rap scene. The newspaper reported that Zone 6 has been in conflict with members of the rap formation Boats Music for some time, which has also involved violence.
For example, in early 2022, a member of Zone 6 was reportedly shot at a party in Suriname by someone from Boats Music. A member of Boats Music was also assaulted by Joey AK and two friends in a clothing store in PC Hooftstraat on May 17, 2022.
