An Iranian court has sentenced Shervin Hajipour to three years in prison for his protest song Baraye. The artist announced this on Friday. Hajipour wrote the song after the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini. The song became the symbol of the 2022 protest movement that left more than 120 demonstrators dead.
