The reunion between André Hazes Jr. and his sister Roxeanne Hazes has been a fact for several weeks. Since then, many people have wondered whether they would go to war together against their devilish mother Rachel. She seems to be wrongly managing the estate of the late André Hazes and after that strange thing with those Lidl bath slippers, Rox wants to take over.

Take it easy

How is your contact with Rox now? Good. Her brother, who is one year younger, tells RTL Boulevard: “We take it very slowly and we don’t meet for coffee every day or something, but the contact is very good.”

Who took the first step? “Me. And the second too and the third and the fourth. She was very reserved. Persevere. I guess I succeeded.”

Not yet

Things never got very out of hand between them, André says. “We have never been abusive towards each other. I think it was very good to distance ourselves from each other so as not to let things get worse. That is why we can now interact with each other in this way.”

Will he now assist his sister in the anti-Rachel case? “I’m not in it – maybe not yet – but not to the point where I think: I support my sister in this, but I was curious about both sides, and I heard one side of a story for years and I think it’s very nice to know: what about the other side?”

To bully

It is striking that André very consciously says ‘not yet’, so he emphatically leaves open the option of joining her. “There is a truth somewhere and we hope to know where it is one day. But I don’t really feel like she needs me in this fight yet.”

Where the truth lies? Probably somewhere between a multi-million dollar inheritance and a pair of Lidl slippers. André would rather not get involved. “I’m just afraid that any additional decision we make can only ruin it.”

‘Then I will be there’

If Roxeanne specifically asks him to, André will still change tack, he promises. “I do know that… The moment I saw her again I thought: Jesus, she’s my sister and I love her very much, so if she needs me, anywhere, I’ll be there for her. ”

What does André think of the fact that Rachel seems to have disinherited them? “Maybe that’s the strange thing, but nothing surprises me anymore or anything. I have never really worried about an inheritance or anything and that is what I once tried to say by not interfering.”

Shit money

André concludes: “I think one thing is important: that the name Hazes is handled properly. And all that shit money, they can do whatever they want with it. I honestly don’t care.”

And that is also what Roxeanne is about: the name Hazes and the way Rachel squanders it. All in all, the Hazes battle between mother and daughter continues happily, with André Jr. as a reluctant guest star.
