1. The Terror Trio
It’s not just him who is behind many of Alligatoah’s (real name Lukas Strobel) hits – or is he? Also involved in the works are the fictional terrorist duo rapper Kaliba 69 and producer DJ Deagle, whose names often appear in the adlips. Except that Alligatoah is also hiding behind them. They are the artist’s alter egos that he came up with so that he wouldn’t feel so lonely.
2. Off to the savannah
The release of his EP SLEEPING TABLES RED WINE V Aligatoah wanted to celebrate with a live concert. But he wouldn’t be himself if it were a completely normal gig, with a completely normal location and a completely normal audience. So the rapper traveled to Kenya and performed his album in the savannah – completely alone, without a crowd. At least he let his fans take part in the show in the stream on Apple Music, and his desert performance is now also available on YouTube.
3. Luke, the pyramid builder
The music industry is not an easy place. Many artists have certainly already thought about a plan B in case things don’t go well anymore – including Alligatoah. But instead of choosing a traditional profession, he would rather be a pyramid builder. You read that right, the rapper would like to “Just carry stonesdo something really stupid.”
4. Socially critical swaying in sailor style
In “Like Home,” Alligatoah sings about the travel behavior of today’s society, which, for example, flies halfway around the world in order to be served by a German waitress at the Starbucks around the corner – influenced by gentrification and digitalization – and feels very comfortable feels “like home” – even if the social media postings and the urge to return home with a new personality are of course stressful.
The singer not only realized this track alone, but also brought the North German sailor band Santiano on board for another version, allowing genre worlds to collide.
5. Dream House – Mill

6. He doesn’t want to do drugs with you – it would be too easy
Because of his song “Do you want to?”, Alligatoah was asked more than once: “Do you want to do drugs with me?” His very clear answer: “No.” Although, according to his own statements, he considers the concept of drugs to be a great invention because it is through Chemical processes can trigger feelings of happiness within a very short time. He originally wanted to use this talent for something completely different. After graduating from high school, he initially trained as a graphic designer with the aim of becoming a director. Nothing came of it, but fortunately he can now express his creative thoughts somewhere else.
8. It was dark, the moon shone brightly…
… this is how a joke poem by an unknown author begins, whose oldest writings probably date from 1898 – or rather from 2016? Alligatoah turned the lyrical work into a song and part of SLEEPING TABLETS ROTWEIN I. The text is notable for its numerous paradoxes, such as the lines:
“It was dark, the moon was shining brightly, when a car flashed like lightning
Drove slowly around the corner, early in the morning at 4 p.m
There were people standing inside, silently talking
“When a dead rabbit skated on the sandbank”
9. 80s porn whip
We already knew that Alligatoah has a weakness for filmmaking and working with moving images. We also know that his creativity and penchant for provocation have led him to create some very explicit works – such as the track “Fuck Him”, in which he takes on the role of a notoriously jealous partner. Cinematically, this piece is accompanied by porn from the 80s, which were re-edited to create the finished music video at the end. 10. The Forest Boy
The 34-year-old has released several albums, singles and EPs throughout his career.
