The financial institution has added 2,249,770 shares to its portfolio and now has a total of 21,573,772 Merck & Co shares, which are worth 2.35 billion US dollars. 8th place: Visa
The US credit card provider Visa was able to move up from tenth to eighth place. Here, Deutsche Bank purchased 291,049 shares of the MasterCard competitor in the fourth quarter of 2023. The total of 9,390,105 Visa shares in the portfolio were worth around 2.44 billion US dollars as of the reporting date, which corresponded to 1.25 percent of the Frankfurt-based company’s entire portfolio.

Deutsche Bank also accessed the Zuckerberg Group Meta Platforms in the fourth quarter of 2023 and increased its portfolio by 2,373,359 Meta shares to now 7,364,887 securities worth $2.61 billion. This accounts for 1.33 percent of the entire portfolio.

6th place: Alphabet C
Deutsche Bank’s US portfolio moved up two places for C shares from Google parent Alphabet. This is also due to the 2,801,617 (plus 15.53 percent) shares of the search engine company that the Frankfurt-based company added to its portfolio between October and December. The financial institution now holds 20,843,345 Alphabet C titles, which were worth around $2.94 billion as of the reporting date. This corresponded to a depot share of 1.5 percent.

5th place: Amazon
Amazon moved up four places: While the e-commerce giant’s shares were in ninth place in the previous quarter, they reached fifth place in the fourth quarter. Considering that Deutsche Bank bought 7,815,853 new Amazon titles between October and December, this rise is hardly surprising. As of December 31st, the Frankfurters held a total of 24,313,016 Amazon securities, which were worth $3.69 billion. This corresponded to 1.88 percent of Deutsche Bank’s entire US portfolio.

4th place: NVIDIA
In fourth place in the Deutsche Bank ranking: the AI profiteer NVIDIA. With a total of 8,649,501 shares in the chip company, the financial institution held 1,391,371 shares (plus 19.17 percent) more in the fourth quarter than in the previous quarter. On the stock exchange, the NVIDIA notes were worth around $4.28 billion as of the reporting date. The position represented 2.19 percent of the bank’s total US portfolio. In the ranking, NVIDIA’s position moved up two places compared to the previous quarter.

3rd place: Alphabet A
In addition to Google parent Alphabet’s 20,843,345 C shares, Deutsche Bank also held 42,483,447 Alphabet A shares in the fourth quarter of 2023. Compared to the previous quarter, Deutsche Bank increased its position here by 6,799,391 stocks (plus 19.05 percent). At the end of December, the market value of the investment was around 5.93 billion US dollars, making up 3.03 percent of all US shares in the Frankfurt-based portfolio.

2nd place: Apple
Apple gained a place in the list of the largest US holdings in Deutsche Bank’s portfolio. So the silver medal goes to the iKonzern. The position in Apple increased by 7,040,382 or 19.98 percent, so that Deutsche Bank now owns 42,279,655 Apple shares. As of the reporting date, these were worth $8.14 billion, which corresponded to 4.15 percent of the entire portfolio.

1st place: Microsoft
While Microsoft shares were in second place in the previous quarter, they were now able to move to the top of the Deutsche Bank portfolio in the fourth quarter of 2023. One reason for this was that Deutsche Bank increased its stake in the software giant by 4,590,108 shares (plus 18.89 percent) between October and December. As of December 31st, the financial institution now had 28,888,504 Microsoft securities, which were worth $10.86 billion.
