In addition, the Flemish Parliament approved an amendment to the decree on cemeteries. This gives the municipal council the opportunity to authorize urns containing the ashes of deceased pets to be placed in the grave of their owner.
“It is not yet clear exactly how everything will be included in concrete terms,” continues Alderman Samyn. “We are still waiting for the final adjustment of the decree, which will be available around the summer and will also appear at the municipal council later.”
