An Australian photographer sued the father of pop singer Taylor Swift on Tuesday for physical assault. The singer is currently on tour in Australia. Father Scott Swift (71) allegedly punched the photographer in the face on Tuesday, reports said ABC.
New South Wales police said in a statement they were investigating “an alleged assault on Sydney’s north shore”. Around 2:30 a.m., a 71-year-old man allegedly attacked a 51-year-old man at Neutral Bay Wharf, police said. McDonald then filed a complaint with the police, although he said he was not seriously injured.
Taylor Swift celebrated the end of her successful Australian concert series with a cruise in Sydney Harbor on Monday evening. In the early hours of Tuesday, she disembarked at Neutral Bay Wharf, where McDonald was waiting to take photos of the singer and her entourage. According to the photographer, the singer’s bodyguards pushed umbrellas into his camera and face, and one of them hit him in the face, while Taylor Swift was already in a car at the time.
“Never attacked before”
