Christian Wejse had a hard time.

Christian Wejse drove from high speed face first against the sideline at the end of January in a match of Germany’s highest league level in the DEL series.
The crash was really hard, and Wejse immediately felt a lot of pain. He stayed on the surface of the ice and felt his nose bleed.
– I tried my face with my glove and the glove was quickly completely covered in blood. When I got up, I could only see a line of blood on the ice, Wejse told the Swede For Expressen.
Wejse went straight to the dressing room and was sure that his nose was just broken. Everything else.
– The doctor came a little later with the end of my nose. Only then did I notice that the end of my nose had come off.
– I laughed a little at first because I couldn’t believe it was true. I was shocked when I saw myself and when I saw the reactions of others when they saw me.
The Dane was immediately taken to the hospital, where he was operated on. The surgeons got the tip of the nose back in place and 25 stitches were placed in the tip of Wejse’s nose.
It was later revealed that the visor of Wejse’s helmet severed the tip of the nose when the player hit the wing face first.
Wejse, representing the Fischtown Penguins, has already returned to training. However, his nose is still fragile and cannot withstand blows. Wejse no longer feels pain, but hopes that the nose will look as normal as possible in the future.
Wejse, who is cool as an attacker, is playing his third season in the ranks of the Penguins. He has played 41 regular season matches this season with an output of 13+6=19. Wejse is a familiar sight from the Danish national team and he has played in two World Cups in his career. He moved to Germany from the ranks of Esbjerg Hockey for the 2021–2022 season.
