Prince Harry will probably have to drop his royal titles if he wants to become an American citizen.

Harry said last week Good Morning America – program interview that he has considered acquiring US citizenship. However, according to the country’s law, the prince would have to give up his royal titles to get a green card. A green card means a foreigner’s permanent residence permit in the United States.
However, the law does not apply to native Americans and for this reason, Harry’s children, Archie and Lilibet, are entitled to their prince and princess titles. Provinziano points out that for Harry, holding on to the prince’s title as a US citizen would likely lead to a legal battle.
– Alternatively, Prince Harry could ask Congress to approve a waiver that would allow him to keep his title. But that would require special treatment, and he might not want to resort to that.
Harry revealed in last year’s issue Deputy– in his book that he once used drugs. It has been speculated that the revelation could even be a reason to deny citizenship if Harry ends up applying for one.
Relinquishing the royal titles could also cause further tension between Harry and King Charles. Harry has long dreamed of a reconciliation with his father and brother, Prince William. The prince is also believed to want to return to his diplomatic duties to help Charles, who is undergoing cancer treatment.
