Journalist Candaş Tolga Işık claimed that the movie Bergen was canceled in Adana Kozan, where Halis Özgür lived, who killed Bergen. Işık said that he had contacted Kozan Mayor Kazım Özgan and said, “I got the answer that it was deemed appropriate.”
The movie “Bergen” starring Farah Zeynep Abdullah was released today. Known as the ‘woman of pain’, Bergen was shot dead at the age of 30 in Adana Pozantı, on 14 August 1989, by her divorced husband Halis Özgür.
Halis Özgür, who said unspeakable words about Bergen, who lost his life in the program “If I Don’t Tell”, which he participated in the other day, continues to live in Adana Kozan.
Journalist Candaş Tolda Işık, on the other hand, shared a post about the film on his official social media account, Twitter.

Explaining that the film was abruptly canceled in Kozan, Işık said, “Let me tell you a fact about Turkey before March 8: In Kozan, where Halis Özgür, who killed Bergen lived, the municipal cinema suddenly stopped broadcasting the Bergen movie today! Its producers, who received death threats, live with bodyguards.
I just called Kozan Mayor Kazım Özgan and said, “Why was the movie that was booked 1 month ago suddenly removed from the vision on the day it was released?” I asked. “It was deemed appropriate,” he said. Mr. President, despite all my insistence, did not give any other answer,” he said.
