Civitarese: “Juve, it’s all the fault of an uninspiring goal”

Roberto Civitarese, specialized in sports, analyzed the Lady’s behavior: “Reaching the top led the team to give up. And now it’s normal that they only aim for fourth place. Here’s why”

Juve is the victim of a paradox: having reached the top of the table not only did the Bianconeri not benefit, but it also emptied their motivation. And all this happened because the pre-established and obsessively repeated objective had been identified as a Champions League place, therefore at the minimum goal of fourth place. At least this is the opinion of Roberto Civitarese, mental coach specialized in sports – football in particular -, also author of the volume “Gioco di Testa”, a mental training manual for footballers. “It’s always a question of objectives, and what is happening to Juve seems to me to be a school case, much more linked to the psychological sphere than to the technical one. It is no coincidence that the team collapsed once it reached the top of the table Serie A ranking”, explains the professional.
