No, they are victims of their clueless coach
Who will be in Bayern’s lineup for the next game? Tuchel probably doesn’t know that himself – and the professionals certainly don’t know that. Today Sacha Boey, tomorrow Raphaël Guerreiro. The coach failed with his experiment in Leverkusen and he also used the wrong formation in the game against Lazio. The 0-1 defeat is proof enough.
Tuchel had no explanation for his team’s lack of creativity and stability. After the final whistle of the game in Rome, he left the field towards the catacombs and left his players on the pitch. Apparently after a short period of reflection, he came back and replied curtly: “I have no idea.”
He should be able to answer the questions alone and not hope that the team around Manuel Neuer and Harry Kane will suffer the misery. Because it is Tuchel who bears responsibility, the players are victims of their perplexed coach.
Tuchel has already played 43 games with Bayern. He has been head coach in Munich for almost a year and has still not managed to form a team from the existing players. Instead, he repeatedly caused unrest with his helplessness. The fact that he publicly spoke out against his own professionals and called for different types of players certainly didn’t have a calming effect on the team.
Solutions should be found as quickly as possible in the coming game – and Tuchel can only do that if he accepts the Munich squad and begins to form an eleven that understands each other blindly and finally “plays” again.
How long does that take? Tuchel would say: “I have no idea.”
