Hungarian President Katalin Novák (46) announced her resignation on Saturday after coming under fire for pardoning a man convicted in a case of sexual abuse in a children’s home. Novák is a confidante of ruling Prime Minister Viktor Orban and was elected two years ago as the country’s first female president.
