The farmers around the Roggebotzand nature reserve in Dronten are annoyed by the growing number of deer on their farms. They cause damage to land and crops and this cannot simply be recovered from the province as the owner. According to Johan Huijbregts, the animals run away from the many mountain bikers. “But isn’t this a quiet area?”
