KVO took the lead halfway through the first half through Brent Laes and was able to double that lead ten minutes into the second half thanks to a goal by Ewan Henderson. Still, the tension remained in the match because Poelmans scored the tying goal in minute 57.
But KVO was able to keep the three-pointer on board and, thanks to a six out of nine after New Year, moved up to fourteenth place, one point more than Seraing and Jong Standard. There is some sporting hope again in the city by the sea.
