Amazon has decided not to acquire iRobot, the manufacturer of Roomba robot vacuum cleaners. Last year, the European Commission opened an extensive investigation into the takeover of 1.4 billion dollars, equivalent to just under 1.3 billion euros. That pressure became too much for both companies. As a result of the canceled deal, 350 employees will be laid off at iRobot.
