The film about Williams’ life will premiere in theaters next fall.

Producer and songwriter Pharrell Williams, 50, has started a collaboration with Lego. The film about Williams’ life will be seen next autumn in an exceptional format, when assembled from Lego blocks Piece by piece hits theaters on October 11th.
An exceptional format is the director by Morgan Neville handwriting. The Oscar-winning director says in Lego’s press release that Williams approached him with the idea five years ago. The film was made in collaboration with Focus Feature and Lego.
– Pharrell Williams asked me to help tell his story using Lego animation. It was one of the few moments when I knew this was the journey I wanted to go on, says Neville.

According to Lego, Pharrell Williams was not interested in the traditional format, but wanted to tell his story in a way that would free the imagination of the audience.
– When I came up with this crazy vision to tell my story using Lego bricks, I couldn’t have imagined a better partner than Morgan. He is a legend, Pharrell Williams commented.
The musical talent has also created a career as a producer and fashion designer. Fashion house Louis Vuitton named Williams as one of the creative directors of menswear in 2023.
Williams gained popularity in 2014 with his song Happy.
