Abba Teens, later A-teens, is making a comeback after an 18-year hiatus. The band will perform at the Swedish five-a-side qualifiers on Saturday next week in the interim number.

It is therefore not competing for a representative place in Malmö’s Eurovision Song Contest.

The band made their breakthrough in 1999 with their version of Abban Mamma Mia from the song. After that, the album The Abba Generation appeared, whose songs were new versions of the songs of the legendary Abba.

The group was formed by Marie Serneholt, Sara Lumholdt, Dhani Lennevald and Amit Paul. The members of A-teens were 15-18 years old when the band was active.

They changed the name from Abba Teens to A-teens when Abban Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andresson requested a name change.

The group sold a total of six million records.

More detailed information about the return has not been given.
