Pharrell Williams makes Lego film about his life | Show

Pharrell Williams tells his life story in upcoming biopic Piece by Piece using Lego bricks. The successful singer and producer collaborated on the project with Lego Group, the Danish family company behind the famous building blocks.

Williams announced the news about the upcoming film herself via Instagram. He placed a movie poster showing a row of increasingly larger Lego blocks that closes with a figure that represents the singer himself. “Who would have thought that playing with Lego as a child would evolve into a film about my life. Proof that someone else can do it too…,” he wrote.

Focus Features, the film’s producer, said in a statement that Williams was “uninterested in making a traditional film about his life” and therefore chose to tell his story “in a way that captures the imagination of would give the public free rein’.

Piece by Piece can be seen in American cinemas from October 11. It is not yet known whether and when the film will be shown in the Netherlands.
