The 2026 European Swimming Championships will take place in Paris. As the continental association European Aquatics announced, the competitions will be held in St. Denis like at the Olympic Games this year. At that time it was the 100th anniversary of the first European Championship in Budapest in 1926.
France’s Sports Minister Amelie Oudea-Castera sees the successful application as confirmation as a “significant organizer of international sporting events,” as she announced in a statement. The individual disciplines are held at the Olympic Aquatics Center (OAC) and the Seine.
