According to the report from the Argentine Association of Insurance Companies, the CPI for the last twelve months to October 2023 grew by 143%. For the same period, accumulated premiums increased by 120%; which represent 23 basis points below and 16% below inflation.
“It has been a very complex year, marked by macroeconomic instability, growing inflation and uncertainty due to the electoral process,” declares Hugo Tito, President of National Brokers, one of the most important insurance brokers in Argentina. “In some insurers, the imbalance in the results and the difference between the growth in inflation and the premiums issued caused delays in the payments of claims. The lack of spare parts and the alteration of prices generated imbalances in the repair of damages in the case of auto coverage.”
Hugo Tito has an optimistic outlook on the future driven by his company’s 34-year history. The broker aspires to consolidate the diversification of its businesses, territorial expansion and increase its market share.
His approach is consistent with the degree of development and penetration of National Brokers.
