TO Çukurova, the fictional town in which it is set Bitter earth, the balance is changing. The protagonists enter a renewed phase and must face new tragedies and unexpected events. The Turkish soap opera is in its fourth and final season and in the episode airing tonight at 9.20pm on Channel 5 we witness yet another twist.

The episodes begin with the fall of little Leyla. Züleyha Altun’s daughter (Hilal Altinbilek) and Demir Yaman (Murat Ünalmis) she fell from the terrace in a moment of distraction by Fadik (Polen Emre). She was admitted to hospital, she did not suffer serious injuries and soon gets back on her feet. When she is discharged, her mother and the rest of the family organize some charity events to celebrate the happy event.
News of the fall quickly spread around the city. Hakan Gümüsoglu (Ibrahim Çelikkol) is busy arguing with Abdülkadir Keskin (Erkan Bektas) and, when Bedir tells him what happened, he rushes to Yaman villa. Abdülkadir witnesses the scene and understands that his friend he is really in love with Züleyha.
To confirm his thesis, news given by Betül (Ilayda Cevik). A holding ship sank and its cargo was lost. It turns out that the vessel was uninsured and for the company this represents a huge loss and damage that could have disastrous consequences. Hakan intervenes, offering to make up for it out of his own pocket without asking for anything in return. Meanwhile, Betül begins to form a permanent pair with Fikret (Furkan Palali). Or at least that’s what everyone thinks, but who knows if Fikret is of the same opinion.

The truth about Ümit’s death is discovered
For Züleyha it seems the time has come to move on, but the past comes knocking again. Someone with an anonymous phone call warns Iskender, Ümit’s father (Hande Soral), that his daughter did not die in an accident. It’s shocking news and the man decides to get to the bottom of it. So gets the body exhumed and discovers himself the truth.
That is to say that Ümit was killed by a gunshot. Who is responsible? Suspicions immediately fall on Demir. Abdulkadir made the call, who has just developed yet another diabolical plan. In fact, he knows perfectly well that it was Züleyha who shot the woman and not Demir.
To avoid disastrous consequences, Hakan goes to Abdulkadir and asks him to give him the gun that could nail Züleyha. In fact, there are her fingerprints on the weapon and the prison doors could open wide for the woman. For his part, Abdulkadir appears willing to get rid of the gun, but on the condition that Hakan follows his instructions. The latter accepts and in the meantime Abudlkadir continues to probe his feelings. He wants to find out whether Hakan is in love with Züleyha or not.

In a short time the news of the truth about Ümit’s death spreads throughout Çukurova. People don’t talk about anything else and it’s yet another scandal that engulfs the Yaman family. In front of the chatter, Zuleyha makes an important decision. She decides to turn herself in to defend her husband’s honor of which there are no longer any traces.
Demir, in fact, has been missing for weeks. Fikret also went to look for him in Syria, but he seems to have vanished. Meanwhile Züleyha has discovered several secrets about her husband’s past, starting from the existence of Hulyaan ex-girlfriend who was left paralyzed after attempting suicide following her breakup with Demir.
Nonetheless, she thinks it is right to take her husband’s defense and prepares to go to the police. Fikret and Lütfiye (Hülya Darcan) come to his rescue. They strongly advise her against turning herself in and, in the end, Züleyha listens to them. At this point, Abdulkadir begins his plan.
