The municipalities of Best and Oirschot plan to merge. A year ago, Oirschot asked Best if they would like to continue together. The first ‘date’ between the two municipalities was a month ago. Party chairmen, mayors and clerks then agreed to investigate a ‘marriage’ between Best and Oirschot. Prince Rik d’n Urste of Best (Klompengat) and City Prince Pieter dun Urste of Oirschot (Skôn Orre Gat) are already arguing about this ‘marriage’. At the request of Omroep Brabant, they look at what municipalities can learn from each other, what they are missing and why their municipality is better.
