On the spot, however, he realized why all the actors’ bodies looked so perfectly tanned.
– There was the aunt who painted the body. I was like what are you doing? Lampenius recalls in the episode.
– I realized how perfect everyone’s bodies were there. It was that you go there to the trailer and then there comes the aunt with the big bucket next to it. There’s a lot of stuff in that bucket, the violinist continues.
Lampenius says that the “aunt” in question took a big brush and painted her body like a wall. She was wearing a bikini which was covered with white paper for the painting session. Lampenius was told that the skin paint in question contained sunscreen, self-tanner and brown color.
– Just like that, everyone had perfect skin. No blood vessels were visible and you are like a porcelain doll, he says.

In addition, he reveals that one of the main stars of the series, David Hasselhoff, always weighed before shooting.
– Then the blood vessels bulged, and they looked bigger than they were, Lampenius opens.
Lampenius recently took a stand on modern beauty ideals in a cover interview with Iltalehti. He said that he was horrified by how many people already in their twenties undergo cosmetic surgery in order to fit modern beauty ideals.
– It’s really sad that you no longer want individuality, but have to fit into the mold. When I was in Playboy, the models all looked different because there was no botox or fillers back then. I would hope that today’s youth would start to think more that we are all unique the way we are, he stated in the interview.
