The Utah Jazz defeated the Toronto Raptors 145–113 and moved into the playoff spot in the NBA’s Western Conference for the first time since the beginning of the season.

Jazz historian Thurl Bailey’s according to this is the biggest score that the Jazz have ever scored in their home hall during the actual game time of the match.

The team’s driving force was the recent Athlete of the Year Lauri Markkanen, who scored 22 points, grabbed nine rebounds and dished out two assists. Markkanen wowed the home audience with, among other things, his handsome donks.

Jordan Clarkson (21 points) and Collin Sexton (20) were also in a good mood.

A sense of dread

The victory was the Jazz’s fourth in a row and the 20th of the season. There have been eight defeats in the last ten matches.

After plowing through the early season, all the pieces have suddenly fallen into place.

– I’ve been following the NBA for work for nine years, and I’m not sure if I’ve seen such a complete turnaround, journalist Tony Jones amazed.

The next night, the Jazz host the Los Angeles Lakers.
