Kenzo Goudmijn will play football in Rotterdam again. Excelsior rents the midfielder from AZ for a year and a half. The midfielder also played for the Kralingers in the past.
“Excelsior has always felt good to me, so I’m happy to be back. I wanted to play good football again and that’s why I made this choice,” says Goudmijn, who mainly had to make do with substitute appearances at AZ.
“Although I did not have the share I wanted at AZ, I did show that I have grown at Excelsior last season. I think everyone understands that I went for my chance there. But because I want to let Seeing what I can do, I have made the choice with the people around me to return to Excelsior to work here.”
Goudmijn attended a training camp with AZ last week. In 2021, Goudmijn also played on a rental basis at Excelsior. In the remainder of the season, the born Horinees was promoted to the Premier League. He played a lot of minutes in the Premier League last season.
