UK e-commerce specialist N Brown Group Plc has appointed Clare Empson as director of supply chain.
Empson will take over the post on January 15th and will report directly to CEO Steve Johnson, the parent company of online fashion providers JD Williams, Simply Be and Jacamo announced on Tuesday. She succeeds Phil Barnes, who announced his retirement next spring last year.
According to her future employer, the designated supply chain boss has 25 years of experience in the retail industry. Most recently, she was Director of Operations at clothing retailer Ted Baker.
At N Brown, she assumes responsibility for all aspects of the supply chain, including associated facilities and employees. She is also expected to drive forward the ongoing reforms in the company’s logistics area.
