Wednesday’s six-game league round will see several new reinforcements.

In Helsinki, HIFK led 2–0 against SaiPa as early as 2.12 Eetu Koivistoisen and Alex Broadhurstin with paints. A recent acquisition of KHL-Jokers, an Olympic winner, made a strong case for the latter Iiro Pakarinen. The heavy Taklaus detached from the opponent’s puck, and the man still had time to make a mask in front of the goalkeeper.

Also another joker acquisition, a returnee Teemu Turunen is in the composition of HIFK.

Two ex-jokers

In Rauma, both Lukko and Pelicans present their recent acquisitions of Jokers. Henri Ikonen will play the next two through in Rauma, and the Olympic winner Hannes Björninen moved to Lahti for the rest of the season.

The reigning champion Lukko, who was disciplined by Korona, has got the men back from the sick list, albeit leading the league’s packaged exchange. Vili Saarijärvi in turn fell aside.

After the opening batch, the Lock leads Arttu Ilomäki with an accurate wrist shot 1–0. The hit was born of superiority.

Steady in Kuopio

There are also two new players in HPK’s line-up, from Kärpi on loan Aleksi Mustonen and the Olympic champion who moved from the Jokers Niklas Friman.

After the opening round, the KalPa-HPK match is still in an undefined draw.

The story will be completed as the games progress.
