Galatasaray Ekmas defeated Italian representative Derthona Basket 71-70 in the first match of the FIBA Basketball Champions League Play-In round.
The top scorer of the match was Klemen Prepelic for the Yellow-Reds with 23 points. After this result, Galatasaray took the advantage before the second match by taking a 1-0 lead in the series. The second match of the series will be played on Tuesday, January 9, at Sinan Erdem Sports Hall, hosted by Galatasaray.
If the yellow-red team wins the match to be played in Istanbul, they will have their name written in the last 16 rounds.
